The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) has joined forces with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to integrate seafarer applications into the recently launched e-Gov Super App, marking a significant step toward digital transformation.
This strategic collaboration was announced during the National ICT Month kick-off ceremony at Malacañang on June 2, 2023.
The e-Gov Super App is a comprehensive platform consolidating various government applications from partner agencies, offering a one-stop solution for public services.
With the integration of MARINA's seafarer applications, MISMO (MARINA Integrated Seafarers Management Online) and MARINA OAS (MARINA Online Appointment System), the DICT aims to enhance digital convenience and efficiency for seafarers and the general public.
Seafarers can now access MISMO and MARINA OAS seamlessly through the e-Gov Super App, simplifying their application and appointment processes. This integration eliminates the need to navigate multiple platforms, saving time and effort for seafarers who require these essential services.
The partnership between MARINA and DICT builds upon the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and DICT in April. The MOU focused on improving infrastructure project management and transport programs through interconnection and integration with DICT's systems. —iTacloban
