NATIONAL – The National Housing Authority (NHA) and the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) have agreed to provide free legal assistance to NHA beneficiaries as part of a significant collaboration. This initiative aims to provide legal advice and support to individuals and families benefitting from NHA programs.
To kickstart this endeavor, the NHA and the PAO will organize the People's Caravan—a comprehensive outreach program that facilitates free consultations on legal matters. The People's Caravan represents the latest initiative spearheaded by NHA General Manager Joeben Tai, who strives to bring government services closer to the beneficiaries.
The caravan will be realized through the collaborative efforts of various government agencies and will be conducted within housing projects nationwide. This approach enables beneficiaries to access legal assistance conveniently and enhances their overall experience with NHA programs.
PAO Chief Persida Rueda-Acosta expressed her full support for the NHA's endeavors and assured that the PAO would actively participate in visiting housing projects.
This commitment aims to broaden the reach of free consultations and legal assistance, ensuring that residents are well-informed about their rights and have access to the necessary legal aid. —iTacloban
