TACLOBAN CITY – The TESDA Auto Mechanic Training Centre (TAMTC) in Barangay Abucay, Tacloban City, invites aspiring individuals to apply for its Automotive Servicing Scholarship - Batch 24. This unique opportunity offers a two-year free training program for those interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be a resident of Eastern Visayas or Region 8.
- Age requirement: at least 16 to 23 years old by November 6, 2023.
- Minimum educational attainment: High School graduate, Grade 10 completer, Senior High School graduate, ALS passer, or College level.
- Must be single, without children, and without a live-in partner.
- Must be mentally, emotionally, and physically healthy (no tattoos).
- Must be a member of an indigent family or a 4P's (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) member.
- Must possess good moral character from their previous school.
- Must be willing to work immediately after completing the program.
- Must be available to work from Mondays to Saturdays.
- Must be willing to stay in the dormitory for the entire duration of the training (2 years).
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Applicants are required to submit the following documentary requirements:
- Filled out Application Form.
- Photocopy of Certificate of Live Birth (NSO or PSA Copy).
- Photocopy of High School Diploma or Certification as Grade 10 Completer/Senior High School Graduate/Level or ALS Passer Certificate.
- Photocopy of 4P's ID (if 4P's member) or Photocopy of Certificate of Indigency from the Barangay (if not a 4P's member).
- Photocopy of Good Moral Character Certificate from their previous school.

Interested applicants have two options for submitting their applications. For walk-in applications, all documentary requirements must be submitted in person to the TESDA Auto Mechanic Training Centre (ISUZU Building) located in Brgy. 91 Abucay, Tacloban City. Application forms can be downloaded from the provided link.
For online applications, applicants can click the provided link to access the online application form. They must fill out the form and upload the required documents. Incomplete requirements will not be considered.
All applicants will undergo a screening and deliberation process to determine their eligibility for the scholarship. The deadline for submitting applications is on or before July 21, 2023.—iTacloban
