TACLOBAN CITY – PhilHealth Eastern Visayas office is urging all registered PhilHealth members to enroll in the PhilHealth Konsulta package. During the press conference convened on August 4, 2023, at Hotel Lorenza, officials of the organization emphasized the substantial assistance this package provides to the agency's constituents.
The Konsulta package allows members facing health concerns to avail themselves of medical and laboratory services from accredited Konsulta partners of the agency. Individuals eligible for PhilHealth coverage can conveniently register through the member's portal on www.philhealth.gov.ph or by visiting the nearest PhilHealth Local Insurance Offices.
The Konsulta package, per the provisions of Republic Act No. 11223 or the Universal Healthcare (UHC) Act, is a "primary care benefit package" that extends its benefits to the dependents and children of each member. According to PhilHealth's reports, as of June 2023, over 1,375,711 registrants have embraced the Konsulta package.
Dr. Rosario B. Suyom, Chief of the Healthcare Delivery Management Division (HCDMD) at the PhilHealth Regional Office 8, announced that there are currently 102 Konsulta Providers operating throughout the region. Among these, 20 are located in the vibrant city of Tacloban.
