TACLOBAN CITY - A bloodletting event will happen in this city on October 18, 2023, to support the region's urgent need for a sufficient blood supply. This event aligns with the ongoing National Cooperative Month Celebration and is organized by the Tacloban City Cooperative Development Council (TCCDC) and City Cooperative Development and Livelihood Assistance (CCDLAO).
Cooperative Development Authority Regional Office 8 is collaborating on this initiative, along with Cirilo Roy Montejo National High School Consumer's Cooperative and Eastern Visayan Medical Center Cooperative Schools Division of Tacloban City.
The blood donation drive is scheduled at the new CCDLAO Building on Kanhuraw Hill, just a few meters from City Hall. The event is slated to run from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the specified date. The primary goal of this initiative is to amass a sufficient blood supply to cater to the critical needs of patients within the region. This drive responds to the health department's pressing appeal for ample blood donations.
