TACLOBAN CITY – Some 206 elementary students from Palanog Elementary School, Barangay Palanog, Tacloban City, received early Christmas presents on December 12, 2023. This act of generosity was part of the Police Regional Office Press Corps 8's community outreach program, conducted in collaboration with the Regional Public Information Office and the Police Regional Office 8.
Grade 2 and Grade 5 students received food packs, tumblers, and essential school supplies. Additionally, they participated in a lecture featuring Bible stories presented by representatives from the Child Evangelism Fellowship. The students, visibly delighted, expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful gifts.
Ioannes Omang, President of the Police Regional Office Press Corps 8, extended sincere appreciation to Police Brigadier General Reynaldo H. Pawid, the regional director of Police Regional Office 8. Omang emphasized the significance of such outreach activities, affirming their dedication to positively impacting the lives of young students. He acknowledged all partners' collaborative efforts to foster goodwill and hope within the community.
Principal Geraldine Barsana of Palanog Elementary School expressed her gratitude for the initiative, emphasizing the immense benefit these gifts would bring to students' education and daily lives.
