EASTERN VISAYAS – The Northern Samar Public Employment Service Office (NSPESO) and Municipal PESO have reported a significant increase in job placements across government and private institutions in 2023.
Maurice De Guia, NSPESO manager, attributed this success to their dedication to offering effective employment facilitation services.
NSPESO provides various services to assist job seekers, including job search assistance, placement referrals, training opportunities, and career guidance. The office also offers unique programs for student employment and government internship programs, helping young people gain valuable work experience and bridging the gap between education and employment.
In addition to its core services, NSPESO handles private recruitment and placement for service contractors, assists local recruiters, and facilitates overseas employment.
NSPESO also manages the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program, which provides temporary employment and livelihood assistance to displaced workers and other vulnerable population sectors.
De Guia highlighted the successful conduct of five job fairs in 2023, which created employment, job placement, and referral opportunities for thousands of job seekers. NSPESO and Municipal PESO are accessible in 24 towns across Northern Samar, offering assistance and training to individuals seeking job opportunities to enhance their job application skills. —iTacloban (Source: PIA)
