TACLOBAN CITY – The journey to crown the next Miss Tacloban took a glamorous turn this Saturday at Robinsons North Tacloban in the bustling Abucay district. The pre-pageant event, a precursor to the much-anticipated coronation night, was nothing short of spectacular, with thirteen dazzling contestants vying for the prestigious title.

The afternoon affair was graced by the presence of Ma. Lumen Tabao, the acting head of the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO), infused the atmosphere with her words of assurance and excitement. “This is the afternoon where you can pick your best bet for Miss Tacloban 2024. Relax, and we will give you a good show,” she declared, promising an unforgettable experience to all in attendance.

As the event unfolded, the contestants paraded their multifaceted talents. Their creativity, advocacy, and eloquence shone through, leaving the audience in awe and the judges with the challenging task of determining the deserving winners of various awards.

The stakes are high, as the performances and presentations during the pre-pageant will significantly influence the decisions for awards such as the coveted Best in Talent. These accolades will be announced during the grand Miss Tacloban 2024 coronation night, scheduled for June 21 at the esteemed Tacloban City Convention Center, also known as the Astrodome.

The winner of Miss Tacloban 2024 will not only receive the honor of wearing the crown but also a generous cash prize of P50,000. More importantly, she will assume the role of Tacloban’s ambassadress, embodying the city’s rich culture and values, and representing the spirit of Tacloban on various platforms. —iTacloban
