TACLOBAN CITY – The Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO), in partnership with the District Engineers League of the Philippines (DELP), has made a significant contribution to the education of Filipino students by donating school supplies to selected beneficiaries on July 22 and 30, 2024.
The first phase of the distribution took place on July 22 at the TCDEO grounds, where 45 recipients from various sections of the office received essential school supplies. Leading the effort, TCDEO’s District Engineer and DELP Board Member, Engr. Rebecca G. Yuse expressed satisfaction with collaborating with DELP to extend support to Filipino learners.
On July 30, the initiative continued at Basper Elementary School, where 315 students received school supplies. The school’s Principal, Narissa Leonora G. Enverzo, highlighted the importance of the support from DELP, noting that it reflects the organization’s strong commitment to education. The teachers at Basper Elementary School expressed their gratitude for being chosen as program beneficiaries.
This initiative by TCDEO and DELP underscores their dedication to improving educational opportunities for marginalized communities, ensuring students have the necessary tools to succeed academically. ###
