TACLOBAN CITY – Travellers from Tacloban City and nearby towns can soon enjoy a more convenient sea travel option with the launch of M/V Claudine Stars, the latest vessel from Star Philippines Shipping Lines Inc., a sister company of Roble Shipping Inc.
The new ferry service will link Cebu to Tacloban City, offering passengers a comfortable and reliable mode of transportation.
The ferry will operate three times a week between the two cities. Departures from Cebu are scheduled for Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday at 8 PM, while trips from Tacloban to Cebu will depart on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday at 2:45 PM.
According to the Philippine Ship Spotters Society (PSSS), affordable fares are available for different seating options, including:
- Sitting: ₱ 750.00
- Economy (Upper and Lower): ₱ 850.00
- Tourist (Upper and Lower): ₱ 1,000.00
- Tourist Elite Premiere: ₱ 1,200.00
- Ordinary Cabin: ₱ 2,000.00
- Mabuhay Cabin: ₱ 2,500.00
- VIP Cabin: ₱ 6,000.00
- Mabuhay Cabin Suite and VIP: ₱ 7,000.00
The introduction of M/V Claudine Stars is expected to provide travelers with an efficient and comfortable alternative for inter-island travel between Cebu and Tacloban City. The maiden voyage of the said passenger ferry is on September 11, for the Cebu to Tacloban route, according to a promotional item sent to iTacloban. —iTacloban
